It started with the B-17 Project and a dedicated group of volunteers. 

The Champaign Aviation Museum was built to hold our collection of planes and to handle the rebuild of the B-17 Flying Fortress. 

The B-17 will be moving into the museum beginning  October of 2010.  When visitors come they will be able to see the rebuild process as well as enjoy the rest of the planes that are housed there.
